The brief

Yves Saint Laurent Beauty partnered with Verticar to create the first AR catalog experience on Snapchat. The concept was simple but never done before: let users browse the YSL beauty range by swiping through a catalog menu — and have each product they select applied directly to their face in real time via AR.

Select a lipstick shade from the catalog, see it on your lips. Swipe to the next product, the look updates instantly. The experience merges shopping and beauty try-on into one seamless Snapchat lens — a genuine world first in the AR catalog format.
